We rented this cabin in July 2023. We paid for 5 days but vacated in 1 day. House was so disgusting trash inside. The laundry wasn't working either. No response from management. We found darkened sausage(maybe poop??) in the window by bunk beds, plastic bags, taco sauce, juice cans etc all over the house and around the property. The sofa had vomit that had dried. We had to book another house in an emergency and move out. The view is great but our family couldn't stand the trash/uncleanliness of the house. There are better cabins available with great views from other companies. Stay away from Cabin USA.

We stayed here in 2019, all our families, absolutely beautiful on the water. Plenty of rooms, we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our 4 children and there spouses and grandchildren. Beautiful memories that will be with me in my heart forever . Thank You for the great hospitality from River Mist Lodge!!!

We will be staying in this cabin next month. We are looking forward to it.

We just got home, a day early from our trip. (We left a day sooner.) When we arrived, there was a tree that had fallen over the road and we couldn’t reach the cabin. After 4 hours the tree was cleared. This is understandable. Things like this happen. We just wanted to go to bed at that point. The bed appeared clean. The next morning we went to make breakfast. There were dirty frying pans mixed with the other pans in the cabinet. The refrigerator and the kitchen shelves had so much dust on them that you could write your name in them. (We always take our shoes off when we come home in our home.) We noticed our feet were filthy after we had walked around in the cabin. When we started to take a shower, we happen to look down at the floor with the white bath mat and a brown foot print had been made as we entered the tub. I took a rag and wiped the living room floor and it was filthy. My wife and I enjoy coffee on our deck in the morning. The deck was littered with debris, stick and such. It needed power washed and stained. The hot tub was atrocious. There was a brown film covering the bottom of the hot tub. There was a electrical exhaust fan next to the tub upstairs. The cover was missing off of it exposing electrical connections. It was two feet from the tub. (This is a safety violation !) There was trash littered out in the yard along with large water filters and a garden hose strung across the yard and up to the hot tub to fill it. The gutters overflowed with debris from the trees. We decided to watch a movie one evening in the living room. There is a large television over the fireplace. The problem is the bottom of the television is 8’ off the floor and you are sitting 8’ away. Very uncomfortable. We decided to watch a movie in bed. I dropped the remote and the batteries rolled under the bed. I couldn’t believe how disgusting it was under there. A ton of thick dust and various items including used personal items. I told my wife of this and we stripped the bed, washed all the bedding and cleaned all the floors upstairs and the stairs with wet bleach wipes. (I have pictures of all of this. ) I have left messages about all of this on Cabins USA voice mail and I have been promised a call back to discuss what happened. When we left, I contacted Cabins USA and notified them that we were leaving the property. I received a call on the way home. They offered me a refund on the night we didn’t use and a refund on the cleaning. This would have been a total of around $225.00. We stayed 9 days and paid for 10. So we spent a decent amount. This morning they credited us back for the one night only and not even for the cleaning. Cabins USA did offer to come in and clean it again and I told them that we had all of our personal affects in the cabin and I didn’t feel comfortable with someone coming in without us being there. Even after stating that, they did come out and replace the cover on the exhaust fan and picked up the filter in the yard, without us being there! The cabin was much cleaner when we left than when we arrived. As I stated, I have pictures of everything. There are cabins and cabin brokers all over the area. Based on what we experienced and what they offered to reimburse us, I would never recommend staying in a Cabins USA cabin. They asked for a review and I gave them a chance.

I just came back from pool and a view lodge. I stayed from March 21st - 25th. I can not find a place on their official site to leave a review, so I'm coming here. Pool and a view of a mountain covered in 90 pounds of garbage. The ashtray of the smokies. Cigarette butts everywhere outside. There was a mountain dew can full of them sitting on the top deck too. Garbage literally all over the surrounding outdoor areas. The first thing we noticed about this cabin was the sharp angle on the corner of the driveway which made it impossible to turn into without scratching the bottom of my car. This was also evident from the scratch marks on the driveway from previous cars bottoming out from trying to get in. I had to back into the driveway of the next cabin up the road to be able to angle my car so I could get into the driveway without getting stuck. Second, we noticed the cabin has no wifi so you'll be watching basic DishNetwork in the theater room unless you bring DVDs. Upon walking into the cabin, it's nice. It is a very beautiful cabin. All necessary utensils were available and there were many spare linens. We decided to get in to the pool, where the water was VERY cold. I called the office to ask how to warm the "heated" pool up. They said they would send someone out from maintenance. Maintenance did arrive promptly. The maintenance man said that something in it was clogged and he'd have to send another person out to work on it but he did turn the heat up and it would take around 8 hours. Early the next morning, another maintenance guy showed up and said that it was fixed and would be warm within two hours. I was curious as to why there was a discrepancy in the time they told me it would take to warm up, well, it turns out that the answer is never. It will never warm up. Pretty much ruling out enjoying the pool for the majority of our trip, which is why we spent so much money on the cabin in the first place. I would also like to note that I didn't smell any chlorine in the water, got splashed in the mouth and didn't taste any chlorine. But I'm not a scientist so take that as you will. The hot tub water was very cloudy and full of bugs, even though it had the topper on it when we arrived. It did however have rainbow flashing lights inside and that was pretty cool. The arcade machine was functional unless you needed to use the "up" joystick at anytime ever, you can't because it's broken. The darts had no tips. Two of the pool sticks were broken. Air hockey table was fine. The beds were firm but I found them comfortable. We did actually enjoy going to sleep. Overall, the cabin looks good when you walk in the door but then you quickly realize that all of the amenities are practically decorations. If you're looking for a comfortable sleep and not much of anything else, then this lodge is for you. Just try not to rip the bottom of your car out when you leave.

This is not at all how the cabin is. The cabin is very run down and it is not taken care of. The pictures/ video that are on here and on their site are not what is in the cabin. The cabin is very outdated and falling apart. The cabin needs alot of updates and needs to not be rented out until taken care of. It was sad how many times we had to call maintenance to come to the cabin on our vacation. I do not recommend this cabin at all.

Is it rly bad? My friends booked it for us several months ago & we go this coming week. Anyone who has stayed there plz give me some feedback. I wasn't worried but now I am. There's 11 to 15 of us going. Are we going to hate it?

The tubs are dirty… I wouldn’t dare operate the jet tubs. The beds are super old, worn out and uncomfortable. It reminded me of the rough days… so I embraced my stay from that perspective. Overall, I’d give it a 6/10 score.

They have a shuffle table in place of the pool table.

Worst Vacation ever, completely ruined my friends 20th anniversary trip. A lot of misinformation, a two bedroom turned out to be a one bedroom and loft which had no privacy, I would never recommend these people ever.

Is this cabin still available to rent?

We stayed in this cabin the first of Oct 2021. We found it to be well below what is advertised in the pictures of this cabin. The picture probably were from when the cabins was in better shape. It is big but we found it awkward on the main level with the kitchen on one level and the dinning room and the living room on a lower level. Not very safe for the elderly and very small children. The chairs at the bar in the living room where almost to big and useless, unless you had someone to help push you up to the counter. The electrical issues upstairs in the MB room shocked me several time and several of the dimmer controls had no covers and didn’t work right. The shower in the upstairs bedroom we not put in and tilts making it awkward to stand in it a shower if you are a bigger guy like me. Downstairs we found the cabinets in the kitchen were dirty and we spent a couple hours cleaning before we felt good to put stuff up. The trash can area outside smelled and not clean. No wonder we had several native visitors try to get in it. The games upstairs are old and don’t work right. The foosball is damaged and could even be use. It had been jury rigged with dishwashing sponges cut for the goals. Very cheap fix. One rifle didn’t work on the shooting game. So over all it was a bust in the gaming area. Now to the outside, we couldn’t use the lower hot tub and we called them service and they said the cleaning crew was suppose to take care of it. As advertised it said it had two hot tubs on the lower level. There was only one none working. When we got there the cover on the swim spa was not properly on and it was full of leaves and smelled. The hot tub side the pump and jets didn’t worked at all. And on the swim side the only thing that functioned was the main swim jets. We called about it to and it took three days before someone came to try and clean it and adjust the chemicals. They didn’t do a good job either cleaning it. Still contained leave a debris left in it. I have a hot tub and help with a swim spa and I know how they work. This one clearly had a lot of debris in the plumbing clogging the plumbing in it. Now on to the decks, the decks were not clean at all and had a layer of leaves and walnuts all over it. I personally spent three hour with a hose clean it off the best I could. Overall we were not happy with the cabin and we travel to the area several times a every year. My wife even wrote a review in the website and it was erased or deleted because we couldn’t find it. She detailed all the problem we had and what was advertised. We stayed in a few bigger cabins and by far this was our least favorite place we’ve stayed. In the pictures it was amazing and we anticipated a great stay. When we got there the advertising didn’t live up to the hype. We spent over$6K for our our 5 day stay and it was not worth the price paid. My wife contacted you after we left and didn’t get any response back about our sub-standard stay at this cabin. Guess we think twice before book anything in the future from your rental group. We love coming to this area several times a year. Guess we will have to be more diligent in reading all to positive comments before booking any cabins on our future visits.

You definitely DONT want to rent this it is not as promoted, first of all if you are a clean family you do not want to stay in this cabin Masters roaches dead bugs because apparently they don’t clean like they should, there’s webs on the ceiling, their pots are horrible to cook on they don’t give you enough linens they don’t tell you how dangerous it is to go out to where your cabin is located the hot tub is not the one that they show on the video and one of the most important things that I believe what you’re paying for they should at least give you free Wi-Fi which the cabin does not carry and forget about having a nice time watching TV because you only get two channels and a whole bunch of DVDs that don’t even work because they’re all scratched in one most important thing bring your own water because you’re gonna want to rinse the smell of dirty old rusted pipes the bathroom says it all out yellow and stained it is the tub the toilet and even to wash your hands all that is so yellow from the old rusted pipes! Extremely disappointed!! I Couldn’t even put my baby to crawl on the floor because it’s so dirty the carpet filthy, and I have pictures to show it!!!

This definitely needs updated pictures on your website .... We just stayed here basically no view of the mountains anymore and whoever stayed before us left dirty dishes in the cabinet

The hot tub doesn't work at this cabin and hasn't for the last 2 weeks at least as of 10-11-2021, and it doesn't appear that they are concerned on fixing it as we called on day one of our stay and got crickets. The view is nice, just beware when you drop your grand for the cabin the hot tub won't work.

I want to stay in this!!! It has the kitchen I have always wanted. It also has the shower I want. Why isn't it available?

I would love to stay in something like this. I wished I had the money to invite all my friends for a long time needed family reunion.

The pictures on cabin USA are beyond misleading!! The house smells musty, water damage throughout. Porch lights are broke, main floor toilet leaks & isn't bolted into the floor. Hot tub is busting out on the sides. Spiderwebs are taking over, found roaches in the house. No cleaning supplies or cooking utensils. Island in the kitchen is not attached to the floor. Had blankets hanging on the wall covering holes, broken lamp in the living room. No picnic table, only four rocking chairs. All furniture is outdated and falling apart. The "third bedroom" is a loft. Don't expect the dryer to dry your clothes. You can hear absolutely everything in the house, no insulation what so ever. I do not recommend this cabin at all! It's a shame that you are expecting to arrive at a beautiful cabin & this is what you find. Of course I assume some of the stuff will be "run down" but this is unacceptable!
